Beautifully acted but deathly dull, it centres on a forlorn, wistful couple who’ve been married for 45 years. The film makes that seem like a very long time ago. 1950s hits like Smoke Gets In Your Eyes and Stagger Lee are featured as two of the couple’s “special” songs.
