I refer, of course, to Prince Philip who celebrates his 93rd birthday today. 93?? I always think of him as “about sixty” but he’s now just a few years away from getting a telegram from his wife. Prince Philip isn’t the only famous person who’s actually much older than we think. David Bowie is 67, Michael Aspel is 81, Bill Wyman is 78, even Johnny Depp is 51. So I shouldn’t be surprised that this track – one of the greatest records ever made and still sounding fresh enough to have been released yesterday – is now 32 years old. And when you listen to the chorus, you really can imagine Prince Philip doing a cover version.
He’s 93!!
