My son’s at university so I gave him my bike to pedal back and forth from UCL to Camden Town. The moment the sun came out, I regretted it. I’ve always had a bike. Not because I’m overly concerned about either my own fitness or that of the environment, but because it’s the quickest and easiest way of whipping round London. So this was just the excuse I needed to buy a new one and I really wanted a Whyte. Beautifully designed, uber-cool but fiendishly expensive. So imagine my delight when I saw one in a bike shop in Clerkenwell with 40% off just because it had a few scratches on the frame. Ten minutes later, I rode it away thinking that the way I whip round London, it won’t be long before it has a few more.
My Whyte Bicycle.
