….in less than six months. Let’s salute the astounding success of Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis. When he took over, Palace were bottom of the Premier League with practically no hope of avoiding relegation. And yet Pulis instilled discipline and organisation into a ragtag bunch of players which made them pull together and hoist themselves halfway up the table. Palace have achieved some unlikely results under Pulis but none more so than last night’s. They fought back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 against Liverpool, effectively ending the Reds’ title hopes in the process. It was Liverpool’s misfortune to come up against a team managed by Pulis. Even at this stage in his career, he’s another example of that old maxim: if you want to do your best work, come to London.
