Brilliant and truly original book about a boy with Asperger’s Syndrome which I never thought would adapt to the stage. But I went to see it with my daughter last night and it’s magnificent – faultless in every detail. Every detail except one. Two of the characters live in Willesden. They talk about Chapter Road and suggest that the nearest tube to Chapter Road is Willesden Junction. Hang on, Willesden Junction is nowhere near Chapter Road and Willesden Green isn’t that close either. But the entrance to Dollis Hill tube is actually on Chapter Road. This niggled me for one of two reasons: Either because, like Johnny Kidd of The Pirates, I was born in what was then the London Borough of Willesden and know that area very well. Or because, oh my God, I’m on the spectrum.
The Curious Incident of the dog and the night time.
