If you live in Britain, I imagine you felt much better than you have for weeks. For the first time in a while, you probably got a decent night’s sleep. Yes, it’s been a great summer but the stifling heat and lack of wind had become almost unbearable. Last night we had some very welcome thunderstorms and today conditions are cooler and much fresher, allowing us all to get on up. Playing this 80s floor filler for the the first time in about 30 years reminded me that in the bizarre lexicon of funk, “Get on up” and “Get on down” are exactly the same thing.
How did you feel this morning?
