Last night England were beaten 2-1 by Iceland and knocked out of Euro 2016. It was a disgrace. Iceland deserved to win. Or more to the point, England deserved to lose. We have the richest professional football league in the world, they don’t even have one. Most of their team are part-time and their manager is a dentist. England were atrocious, none more so than Joe Hart. The world’s highest paid goalkeeper let us down again. He was to blame for both Iceland’s goals. The second was such a tame shot that it beggars belief that he let it in. Already a laughing stock for appearing in those excruciating ads for Head & Shoulders, this preening prick’s reputation will never recover from this. And neither should it. Despite all the posing and chest thumping vanity, he lets soft goals in. Ironic, isn’t it? The one quality Joe lacks is heart.
