In fact, I’d seen him twice. Both times in Waitrose and you couldn’t help but stare. 6 foot 6 and carrying the most impressive physique I’ve ever seen, this bloke was a truly magnificent example of our species. I wondered what he did for a living and I now I know. He hits people. In fact, he knocks them out. Last night at the O2, he did just that to Charles Martin to become the IBF Heavyweight Champion of the World, so huge congratulations to Anthony Joshua. I like the fact that he goes to Waitrose, whereas Tyson Fury has got Asda written all over him. In celebration of AJ’s triumph last night, it has to be something from The Joshua Tree. And aren’t U2 a very Waitrose sort of band?
I knew I’d seen him before somewhere.
