Lord Lucan’s dead apparently.

The story is well-documented. One November night in 1974, Lord Lucan returned to his house in Belgravia and allegedly murdered his children’s nanny, mistaking her for his wife. He fled the house and was never seen again. His disappearance remains a mystery but the most plausible theory is that he was spirited overseas through a network of aristocratic friends in a way that would be impossible now. Yesterday the search for “Lucky” Lucan officially ended and his death certificate was finally issued. When he disappeared, this record was high in the charts. And shortly afterwards, Sweet Sensation – billed as Britain’s answer to the Jackson 5 – disappeared just as quickly.
