Paul’s the most laid-back person I know. He left school and worked in the City. Probably because it was the first job he found but then discovered that his calm couldn’t-give-a-toss attitude made him a brilliant money broker. Never motivated by money, he ironically amassed a small fortune, then jacked it all in at 28 and took some time off. Twelve years to be precise. He sauntered round the world, attending various World Cups and Ashes series. Meanwhile he bought a couple of houses, had them done up, then sold them on simply so he could have another five years off. And now, finally, he’s tied the knot. His bride looked radiant but I’ve a feeling it won’t be long before she starts singing this to him over breakfast.
To Paul Conway’s wedding reception.
