Which, at one time, would have meant meeting my mate Scott after work and heading to W12. But now I’ve come to regard my beloved team more like a pub or a restaurant. If the food, service and miserable landlord were as bad as what we had to endure last season, why on earth would you go there? Only football fans are expected to display blind, unrequited loyalty. QPR were relegated but with a better manager and against lowlier opposition, “we’ve” started the season brilliantly. We could be returning to the Premier League. And I could be returning to Loftus Road. Meanwhile, I am at least playing a track by a group which once included the manager’s daughter-in- law.
QPR are at home tonight
