That’ll teach me to hang out in Soho and Shoreditch but that’s where I do most of my work. And everywhere I look, I see hirsute young hipsters, facial hair neatly groomed. I find myself suffering from beard envy because I can’t grow one. Never could and now, let’s face it, I never will. The nearest I ever get is a slightly grubby looking chin that gives me the appearance of an old lady who’s lost her tweezers. ZZ Top, of course, were famous for their luxuriant beards. Well, two of them were – the drummer was clean-shaven. And what was his name? Frank Beard.
