And I cannot understand why anyone was surprised. Labour supporters are always far more vociferous about their political views than Conservatives and the advent of social media has made them even more so. What’s more, when talking to pollsters, people are far less likely to admit to voting Tory, so we were led to believe that it was too close to call. Or that Labour would actually win. All that overlooked one simple fact: Labour’s (now ex) leader was useless. It had little to do with his political views, Ed Miliband never looked, sounded or behaved like a potential Prime Minister. The voters just didn’t want him as their leader. He wasn’t a leader. He wasn’t a winner.
Tories win the general election.
