Yes, I pedalled down to Borough Market this morning. For anyone who doesn’t know, this old fruit & veg market is foodie heaven. It is pretty much where Britain’s fairly recent obsession with good food began and the template for all the “farmers’ markets” that have sprung up in its wake. Faced with such a smorgasbord of deliciousness, I can be forgiven for having such a huge and unorthodox breakfast. I then wandered around, filling my rucksack with organic goodies to take home. However, although I’d cycled there quite happily, I’d somehow forgotten that I’d be cycling home. So this is the sound I think I was making as I struggled back over London Bridge.
Venison, hot cider and Turkish delight. For Breakfast.
