WTF?

…….has been the general reaction to Jerry Hall’s engagement to Rupert Murdoch Why? The obvious answer is that he’s a billionaire but, with a £15 million fortune of her own, she hardly needs his money. She shot to fame almost 40 years ago in this video and was one of the highest paid models in the world. And although Mick Jagger is famously careful with his money, she won’t have been left short when they split. It can’t be physical. Jerry Hall is 59 and still toweringly beautiful. Rupert Murdoch is 84 and…oh God, I can’t even bear to think about it. But perversely his 84 years may well be the attraction. He’ll almost certainly die first and she’s done the maths. Though perhaps she should heed a very old saying – “A woman who marries for money will earn every penny”.
