Beautiful spring day today. It won’t last but I think it’s safe to say that we won’t be seeing any really cold weather for quite a while. Which means my ridiculously warm, down-lined American parka will spend another year undisturbed in the wardrobe. It was made for those severe New York winters that we’ve witnessed recently on the news. Even when I was riding a Vespa on a cold winter’s day, it seldom required more than a T-shirt underneath. I love to wear it and be snugly and smugly insulated from sub-zero temperatures. But on balance, I’d rather a mild winter like the one that’s clearly just finished and not have to wear it at all. So instead of pulling out an American parka, I’ll pull out an American Parker.
A third year in the wardrobe.
