Leicester City. Top of the Premier League.

Two points clear after fifteen games, and that is a truly remarkable achievement. After looking like dead certs for relegation last season, they’re supposed to be at the bottom of the table not the top. Especially as Claudio Ranieri, their barely English-speaking manager, was viewed by many as a dithering old fool. Leicester don’t have anything like the money, support or superstar players enjoyed by the bigger clubs. And yet, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool are going to have quite a job trying to overtake Leicseter. While Chelsea, who sacked Ranieri many years ago, have no chance at all. It would be fantastic if Leicester can hold on and are crowned champions in May. Especially as it’s exactly 39 years since Leicester were top of any sort of table.
