Ian Maybank and I have an only one stipulation when meeting for lunch. The name of the venue must be a clunking great pun. Hence we’ve enjoyed fish & chips at The Codfather, sweet & sour chicken at Kung Food and today it was pie & mash at The Pie Minister. This track seems appropriate not because it’s a real oddity and I quite like it. Not because it was a huge hit – the second biggest-selling single of 1972. But because Lieutenant Pigeon had a long forgotten follow-up called…..…wait for it…… When Julia Sees Her.
Lunch with Maybank.
