If you like this blog but yearn for something more edifying than its daily diet of silly songs and self-regarding stories, may I recommend onetonyharris.com. Tony Harris is one of my oldest friends and his musical knowledge is second to none. Now domiciled in the Far East, he returns whenever he can and it was my privilege to spend much of yesterday with him. We went to that fantastic Rolling Stones exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery and in the evening, I joined a lot of other people for his 50th birthday party at an underground bar in Fitzrovia. The music, of course, was superb. Tony has a particular penchant for semi-obscure early 80s pop singles so I know this will be a firm favourite. If you love music, this blog is, at best, a GCSE. onetonyharris.com is more like a master’s degree.
