But it’s not who anyone thought it would be. Had we remained in the EU, David Cameron would have remained in Downing Street. But since we haven’t, it was widely expected that Boris Johnson, who led the Leave campaign, would now be measuring up for curtains. But no, our new Prime Minister is Theresa May. She’s generally regarded as decent, safe, competent but a bit dull. Though that dull competence may be just what the UK needs right now. If she succeeds in uniting the nation and boosting the economy, she really will be St. Theresa. But it’s a big ask. And if she fails in any way, I think we know who’ll be waiting in the wings.
We have a new Prime Minister.
