We’ve reached the end of the lane.

Spurs really are on their way to Wembley. Next season, they’ll be playing all home games there because White Hart Lane is being demolished and replaced with a brand new stadium. I’ve been to White Hart Lane many times but there’s one occasion I won’t forget in a hurry. I’d driven over from Kilburn with a mate to see Spurs/QPR and the traffic was horrendous. When we saw a few people in Spurs shirts and scarfs, we dumped the car and followed them. Down little alleys and shortcuts we went, on what turned out to be a 25 minute walk to the ground. After the game, of course, we had no idea where we’d left the car and it took us about two hours to find it. Still at least that won’t happen again. Because on current form, the chances of QPR playing at Tottenham’s new stadium are practically zero.
