Oh God, no, I’m not talking about Brexit. I’m talking about remaining in London over Christmas. I adore our capital city, I’ve never lived anywhere else and will be quite happy if I never do. Trouble is, since London’s astonishing transformation into the most exciting and cosmopolitan place in the world, other people now share my passion and it can become a little crowded. But for the next ten days, it will be relatively empty. Theatres, exhibitions and restaurants will be relaxingly accessible and we’ll have a well-deserved break from our hundreds of thousands of house guests. We who remain will go where we want when we want, untroubled by traffic. In fact, I’m off to the Kings Road now. For once, it won’t take long. Especially with this seasonal ditty playing in the car.
I’m a Remainer.
