Great film, fantastic soundtrack. But given the glut of cocaine and hookers, I can’t believe this track didn’t feature. Actually, I can. Bit obvious and as the old saying goes “If you can see it, don’t say it”. Around the time the movie is set, I was DJ-ing in some big West End clubs where again, there was no shortage of cocaine and hookers. I had no interest in either but I did get friendly with the local drug dealers. One night, one of them offered me a free sample and it seemed rude to refuse. He demonstrated his nasal hoovering technique but just as I was about to copy it…..I sneezed. So, much as I’ve always loved this tune, I still don’t really understand what it’s about.
To a screening of The Wolf of Wall Street last night.
