It’s not just the beard that makes him seem so much older, it’s the maturity and wisdom in his voice that suggests years on the road playing hundreds of gigs before Free finally broke through with All Right Now. Compare his look with baby-faced cherubs like Harry Styles or Justin Bieber, and it would seem that kids really don’t grow up faster these days. And if Paul Rodgers looked like this at 20, we can only imagine what his brother Jake looked like.
