So no more Page 3 girls.

And probably not before time. Future generations will say “Run that past me again. Every day, on the third page of Britain’s best selling newspaper, there was a picture of a busty topless model?” And we’ll be amazed that we ever thought it normal or acceptable. Mind you, Page 3 now seems almost innocent compared with the sort of images now readily available on the Internet. But back in the 80s, Page 3 girls were household names. The biggest of them all (Stop it, that’s not what I meant) was Samantha Fox. Page 3 was never for me because it always made me feel sad. Not for the women it supposedly objectified, more for the men who apparently drooled over it. Many of them were unlikely find a real girl in real life. Only on this record would they ever hear a sexy blonde say “Touch Me”.
