I used to go all the time because they had the “One in Front” policy. If there was more than one person in front of you at the check out, they’d open another one. It was genius. The food and prices at all the big supermarkets were pretty much the same, but customers always preferred Tesco because they knew they wouldn’t have to queue. Tesco’s phenomenal success was built on this policy but then they got greedy and abandoned it. So we abandoned them and now they’re in deep, deep trouble. If they want to regain their supremacy, all they have to do is re-intstitute the ‘One in Front” policy. But every time they open another check out, they should play this over the Tannoy.
I never go to Tesco any more.
